CONGÉ INDIVIDUEL DE FORMATION
Students working in Luxembourg are eligible to receive additional days off from work, paid by the government. The congé individual de formation (CIF) repays the individual’s company for the extra days to be used for study. The amount of days each student is eligible for is determined by the hours of study required for each course. Each company must also agree to this arrangement.
For the Welch MBA program, there are 36 credits total (12 courses) with 36 hours per 3 credit course required; equaling a total of 432 hours for the entire program. This means, a student doing the Welch MBA program would receive 18 additional days of paid absence from work.
In the case a student is required to take our 2 foundation courses, the additional days granted would be 21.
For our Graduate Professional Certificate programs, the approximate number of days would be 6.
