Minister of Finance to Receive Honorary Doctorate at Special Academic Convocation

Sacred Heart University is kicking off the 2015 Conference Cycle with a Special Academic Convocation on Wednesday, February 11th at the Chambre de Commerce.

The Honorable Pierre Gramegna, Minister of Finance of Luxembourg, will receive the Doctor of Laws, honoris causa. John J. Petillo, Ph.D., the president of Sacred Heart University, will confer the honorary degree on Mr. Gramegna, who has served as Luxembourg's Minister of Finance since December 2013.

In addition to the conferral by President Petillo, the presentation of the degree will include the reading of the laudatio by Former Rector of the University of Luxembourg Professor Dr. Rolf Tarrach, and vesting of the hood by James T. Morley Jr., University trustee.

Mr. Gramegna will address the audience on his vision of "What the role of the Minister of Finance of Luxembourg could look like in 2030".
