"Twentieth Commencement Exercises"

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS IN LUXEMBOURG
Academic Year 1991-1992 - Academic Year 2011-2012

This Academic year Sacred Heart University Luxembourg celebrates two decades of experience providing MBA and Certificate programs to working professionals in Luxembourg.

The commencement ceremony will be Thursday, June 28th, 2012 in the Chamber of Commerce, Luxembourg. Following the ceremony and reception, we will have a dinner at the Sofitel Kirchberg.* A jazz band will set the mood. The evening schedule will proceed as follows:

  • 17:30    Commencement Ceremony
  • 19:00    Photos & Reception
  • 20:00    Check in for dinner at Sofitel
  • 20:30    Dinner

Commencement 2011

"Ninteenth Commencement Exercises"

On Saturday, June 18th, Sacred Heart University held its Nineteenth Commencement Exercises for students earning Master’s Degrees and Professional Certificates at the University’s campus in Luxembourg.

This year, no honoris causa degree was conferred but Dr. Norbert Becker, Chairman of the Sacred Heart University Board of Regents, delivered the Commencement Address titled “Uncertainties” and honored the memory of Dr. Edmond Israel, former Chairman of the Board.

In Luxembourg, 13 students representing 9 countries received from the new Sacred Heart University President, Dr. John Petillo, Ph.D. their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees and Graduate Professional Certificates.

Pedro Barata, working for Vodafone Group, was the Class Valedictorian and recipient of the Gold Medal of Excellence this year. During his MBA program, he maintained an almost perfect “A” academic average. In addition, Ingrid Zantis was awarded by the Silver Medal and Antoine David received the Dean’s Leadership Award.
