Mary Trefry, Ph.D, Associate Professor
Dr. Trefry's research interests focus on cross-cultural issues and change management. She has presented her research at academic conferences, both in the United States and in Europe, and has recently published in the Journal of Management Education and the Journal of Case Management.
Dr. Trefry began teaching at Sacred Heart University in 1994. From the mid-1980s until 1999 when she began teaching fulltime, she worked with a consortium of independent consultants, specializing in change management, performance appraisal systems, and management training. She had previously worked in senior management positions in large public library systems in Kansas and suburban Washington, D.C.
Dr. Trefry serves as the Academic Liaison for Sacred Heart University's Luxembourg MBA program, as the coordinator for two programs involving both USA-based and Luxembourg-based MBA students, and as the advisor for the International Graduate Forum. She has received several rewards since joining Sacred Heart University. In 2000 she received the Sacred Heart University Discovery Award. In 2003 the Council of Graduate Students honored her with the COGS Graduate Leadership Award. In 2004 she received Sacred Heart University's Teaching Excellence Award.
