Sacred Heart University has created Online Library Resources for students, faculty and staff. The Ryan-Matura Library Web is the gateway to the electronic library collections -- a wide variety of networked electronic resources such as reference databases & indexes, electronic texts & journals, news services, subject guides to resources at Ryan-Matura Library, Internet search tools & how-to guides, information about services such as circulation & reference, and access to Enterprise (our online catalog) and selected catalogs from other libraries.

The Ryan-Matura Library can be accessed through the library’s direct link http://library.sacredheart.edu/, the www.sacredheart.edu homepage or the individual’s blackboard account. Electronic resources have restricted access and are only available to current faculty, staff, and students of Sacred Heart University.

COURSE RESERVES
The library course reserve system provides faculty with the capabilities of making those materials which are in heavy demand or that have been assigned as essential reading for the class available to as many students as possible. Once the material has been made available via the course reserve system, students are able to view and download via the online library.

ACCESSING COURSE RESERVE INFORMATION
Once you have entered the Ryan-Matura Online Library Resource please follow the steps listed below to access course reserve information.

1. Click on COURSE RESERVES in the Student Services box.
2. Enter “Last Name of the Professor” under the "Search by Professor's Name" box.
3. Information correlating to the specific course number should become available.
4. Click on the name of the article or articles you want to view or print.
5. In the "Media Verification Web Access" box type in your name and the last seven digits of your SHU ID number.
6. Then click on PROCEED TO THE DATABASE.

* An Online Library Usage training DVD is available to borrow from the Sacred Heart University Luxembourg Library.

SACRED HEART UNIVERSITY LUXEMBOURG LIBRARY
The Luxembourg Library is located at Sacred Heart University offices in the Chambre de Commerce. The library is specialized mainly in business publications. All library resources are supplemented through purchases and donations. Computer workstations, Internet access and printing resources are also available for use by Sacred Heart University students in the library.
