David J. Pike, Adjunct Professor, has some 25 years’ experience in public practice as a consultant and auditor specializing in: financial and business process rationalization; integration of operational and accounting technology; internal, external and technology audit; risk management; and, fraud and compliance investigations and prevention programs.
As an educator, he has designed and delivered courses for Deloitte and Ernst & Young worldwide and currently lectures for the European Commission on a variety of topics including risk management, internal control, anti-fraud measures and management supervision.
David has served a broad range of clients in terms of size and industries including banking, insurance, transportation, distribution and retail, manufacturing, telecommunications and aerospace, public sector and NGOs in compliance and advisory capacities. He has held successively more senior roles in the “Big 4” firms in Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg and in Switzerland, where he was Partner-in-Charge of the national Enterprise Risk Management practice. He is now based in Luxembourg where he operates The Professionals Network, a growing group of seasoned independent consultants serving a wide variety of clients worldwide.
David is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University, Montréal.
