Association To Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)

AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for schools worldwide that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. Fewer than 5 percent of business schools worldwide have met the rigorous standards required for this accreditation. While membership is a prerequisite for entering the AACSB Accreditation process, members are not required to pursue accreditation. Membership does not confer AACSB Accreditation and should not be interpreted as such.

NECHE - New England Commission of Higher Education

The New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) is the leading accreditation body for colleges and universities in the six New England States: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. NECHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a reliable authority on the quality of education for the institutions it accredits.

Princeton Review: Best Business Schools

The Princeton Review includes Sacred Heart University’s MBA program in its ranking of The Best Business Schools for 2021. The Princeton Review compiled its list of the top business schools using institutional and student survey data.

US News and World Report: Best Part-Time MBA Program

US News and World Report has included Sacred Heart University on three of its college rankings, including its 2022 Best Part-Time MBA Programs and Best Undergraduate Business Programs review. It also made the list of the Most Innovative Schools, which identifies schools that are innovating in the areas of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities.

Standard & Poor's Rating - A

The most recent rating conducted by Standard & Poor in 2017 has raised SHU’s long-term rating to A. Only three other private colleges in Connecticut (Yale, Wesleyan and Trinity) have an A rating or higher from Standard & Poor’s.

“In the midst of all the other exciting news of Sacred Heart’s extraordinary successes comes this news of a jump of two steps in our rating,” said SHU President John J. Petillo. “S&P’s report noted our growing enrollment and diverse geographic footprint as reasons for our success.”
