Ugur Zel, PhD, ACC, Professor of Management

Ugur ZelDr. Ugur Zel is a full professor in the Department of Management. He received his PhD degree in 1999 from Hacettepe University/Turkey on management and did doctoral research at Cranfield University/UK as a Chevening Scholar.

His expertise encompasses all aspects of organizational development, business strategy & planning, coaching & mentoring, course design, curriculum development and potential assessment. He gained international experience while lecturing in different countries, including Europe, North America, and the Middle East. He lectured at SHU main campus (Fairfield/USA) for two years prior to lecturing at Luxembourg MBA Program.

He is a certified EFQM award assessor and trainer since 1996. He has also a wide range of experience in the design and delivery of “leadership development programs” for large-scale global companies. He is also a certified instructor of “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” and “Principle-Centered Leadership” programs of Covey International Inc. He has also 10 years of experience in the design and delivery of Assessment/Development Centers and takes part in advisory boards of large-scale companies on HRM and organization development projects.

Prof. Zel is an accredited executive coach from International Coaching Federation (ICF) with an ACC badge. He is the author and co-author of seven books and numerous articles on leadership, human resources management and strategic management.
